second week over.
much love to masaki who came on saturday matinee - LOVE the flowers :D LOVE the dark lillies...they are awesome against the white rose!!! sorry about the shaky hand pic that didn't really do the lovely bunch of flowers any justice...i think masaki has a pic of both of us that HE WILL SEND ME - RITE??RITE??
saturday nite was the best performance experience so far in terms of energy from the cast as well as audience, and doing a night show after a sat. matinee is a big challenge, given that i've never done a matinee before! :) good lesson learnt.
i think my flower count has officially made the girls a bit jealous. hehehehehe....i told them just on the day before i got the flowers that i never get flowers as a norm, and 2 have come in from this week..they probably think i am such a liar. envy, my dear! heheehehe
thanks to ray who was up on friday night to watch my also :) too bad we didn't get to catch up dude...in 2 weeks my dear, we will sit somewhere and have lots of coffees and chat till 3am or something...
i miss late nite chats with friends.
sunday matinee...must admit there's alot to be improved in that particular show.
we were up there, feeling a HUGE energy vacuum. don't know why. sadly it did affect some of our performance. it's really hard to carry through without feedback, especially when your scene is actually a tool to engage the audience, inviting them to approve or disapprove of the performance, so you have something to work off...but as far as we could feel, it was so...vacuum. and that is the worst feeling.
i could hear a couple of girls in the audience whispering and giggling amongst themselves... GO HOME! if you need to talk, u REALLY need to leave the auditorium! some people in the audience leaves lots for improvement...and oh my god, i heard people eating CHIPS! i was like WTF!?!?!?!??! it's not a fucking movie, you sip your drink, and eat QUIET foods. how very offputting. and if you're child minding, please take your kids elsewhere, because they distract everyone and it's disrespect to the max. it was a difficult matinee.
however, i picked back up after in second act as i figured i wouldn't know who is and isn't watching in the audience and i should give them the benefit of the doubt and it is really my job to do well no matter how dead it felt. felt so quiet that it was more like a rehearsal...very strange...
walked out and ooh.. :) julya, james and kev was indeed in the audience :) thanks for coming guys!!! it is not quite a stroll in the park kind of play...much appreciation for the support! i know sundays are the tiring days, and personally i wouldn't pick sunday to watch a play knowing that it takes alot of energy to engage. much love especially for rocking up on a day i was quite in need of a hug :D i feel da love~
anyone who's seen the show already, if you wish, please come back and watch it again for free. we have a friends and family policy that allows you to watch it again, and perhaps bring someone with you ;) and you will still have good seats (except maybe closing night)
anyway, tiring week...and a beginning of a new week. do it all over again.
oh, btw i stuffed up the audition on saturday...i failed brilliantly! can't complain...oh well, i wasn't ready~
wish me luck to get into next rounds of job int. next week....
