pre friday night jitters.
not really.
my scary night was last night...15 people showed up. that's such a small number that no one laughed at the jokes, i couldn't feel if they were falling asleep or intently watching or both...they didn't laugh at my lines (which ARE funny)...there were more muffled laughters...
but the end of show applause and the intent grin on their faces as we went out on curtain call showed me what i was hoping for. they loved it. :) they were still clapping as we left the stage and lights went dark. i got my first bunch of flowers for a show!!! or the first present i received for the show for that matter! felt very special when you get flowers delivered to backstage (be the envy of your cast members - muhahahha) thanks to HP (hwee peng) from work who came alone to support me :) much appreciated. i almost felt like i had a fan....
love flowers :D this has been a flowery quarter... :) keep 'em coming..hehehehe
seriously though, today's interview with maddocks went...oddly. the interviewer, Bev, kept talking and almost expected me to cut in...and only asked me if i had questions about the job and company...i'm like... don't you want to know about me..? obviously not..~i guess entry level positions are a bit like that, but she was so generally friendly and blank that i couldn't tell if i went ok or did real shit.
angel place is a beautiful building. 28th floor was beautiful. saw the quay along with all the jist..opera house in the distance....even though weather was shit, it was pretty inspirational. i'd love to get a job there...even though i'd be working from L22 instead. everyone was SOOOO professionally attired that i felt a bit intimidated even in my suit (i insist it looks outdated, despite lots of "no, it looks great" remarks from my sisters)
never been so nervous in an entry level interview. i do hope i get the job. the job just has a good title, the job description is generally the same, but hopefully with a much better boss..?
show up in 2 hours...i'm psyched...somewhat...i shouldn't be too psyched so it's ok :)
also....audition for "subtle art of flirting" tomorrow. wish me luck...again :D
